Schmap

They somehow found one of the photos of Budapest that I had posted on Flickr. Nothing great. But they decided they want to include it in the newly released fifth edition of their Schmap Budapest Guide .

What they did is a very smart thing, imho:  they advertise their map under disguise. How? They choose photos of different places from real Internet users, ask them for their permission to use their photos and then congratulate them if their photo was chosen to be included. The people find out about the site firstly, then being proud to have their photo featured on a touristic map, they tell all their friends about it.

But I see nothing wrong in that, so I’m doing the exact thing right now. ;) Go Schmap!
